A&S Engineers, Inc. (A&S) was incorporated in May 1999
under the ownership of Jim Ainsworth and Dan Sherwood. In July
1999, A&S completed purchase of selected assets from ICF Kaiser/Georgia
Wilson, Inc. In this transaction, A&S assumed 14 water district
clients including two regional wastewater treatment plants and
two regional water plants.
The objective
of A&S is to provide municipal engineering services, with
specific focus on municipal utility districts, municipalities
drainage districts and county agencies. We believe that this limited
focus permits us to serve our clients very well and in a personalized
manner.
A&S, a
professional engineering services corporation, is registered with
the Texas Board of Professional Engineers. The firm's registration
number is F-00802.

A&S primarily focuses on services to water district clients
and municipalities. Our attention to quality at all stages of
a project has earned us outstanding ratings from clients for timeliness,
responsiveness and constructibility of our designs.
The firm has
extensive experience in design of water plants, wastewater treatment
plants, water distribution systems, sewage collection systems,
and drainage facilities, in addition to planning for effective
operation and maintenance of those facilities. A&S recognizes
that cost-effective operation and maintenance is important to
each district's success in serving customers within the district.
A&S emphasizes
on-going coordination with the Directors and the District Operator
to identify potential operation and maintenance problems and working
towards prompt and effective engineering solutions. Close communication
is the key to success for effective water district operation and
management. We communicate extensively with Board Members, operator,
attorney, bookkeeper and other district consultants to assure
close and timely coordination of ongoing activities.
A&S is
"in touch" with regulatory agencies and personnel. A&S
is knowledgeable of current regulations and design criteria. This
information is passed on to the Directors to allow the districts
to plan for the future.
A&S is
convinced that inspection and observation during construction
is vital to reduce maintenance costs throughout the life of the
facilities. Preparation of accurate "as-built" drawings
is essential to efficient operation and orderly development of
district utility systems.
